Tour Plan:
Day 1: Marrakesh, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, and the Dades Gorges
You will be picked up from your accommodation, where you will go to the High Atlas region. You will cross the port of Tichka from where you can see the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the famous site where several well-known movies were filmed. You will enjoy lunch there, before continuing to the palm grove valley of Skoura and the Valley of Roses. After arriving at the valley of Daded, you will enjoy dinner before spending the evening in a hotel.
Day 2: Dades – the Todra’s Gorges – Erfoud – The Desert of Merzouga
Your day will begin as you cross the Valley of the Dades, making panoramic stops to take pictures of the landscape before passing by the famous gorges of the Todra. You will take a short tea break before continuing your way to Erfoud, where you will turn off the track towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi Merzouga. Once there you will enjoy an excursion on camels to contemplate the wonderful dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets. You will arrive at the camp where you will enjoy dinner to the rhythm of drums and Berber music, as you spend an unforgettable night in the middle of the desert.
Day 3: Merzouga, Midelt, and Fez
Following breakfast, you will depart to Fez via Rissani, the former economic capital of Morocco. You will continue to the palm valley of Ziz, passing through Tafilalt and enjoying its panoramic views. You will later arrive in Azrou, contemplating the wonderful landscapes of the Middle Atlas and the forest of the pig, with a stop to see the monkeys that live there in the wild. Following this, you will pass through Ifrane (which is referred to as Moroccan Switzerland), before arriving in the afternoon Fez.
Day 4: Fez
Following breakfast, you will leave to visit the old Medina of Fez, the cultural capital and the oldest of the imperial cities of the country built in the 7th century. You will explore the impressive Medina, with its typical shops and artisan quarters, palaces, mosques, Koranic schools, and Mellah, before sitting for lunch in a typical restaurant.
Day 5: Fez – Chefchaouen
Following breakfast at your Riad in Fez, travel through the mountains of Rif to the beautiful Berber city of Chefchaouen. Accompanied by your guide, spend your time exploring the whitewashed streets of Chaouen, animated by the beautifully dressed locals.
Day 6: Volubilis and Rabat
Your day will begin as you depart to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Once there you will visit the walled Medina of the city, the Bab Mansour Gate, and the Him Square. You will later enjoy lunch, before departing to Rabat, the administrative capital of the country. You will visit its leading monuments, before continuing your journey to Casablanca where you will spend a night in a hotel.
Day 7: Casablanca and Marrakesh
Following breakfast, you will make a panoramic visit to the exterior of the Mosque of Hassan II. There you will enjoy a small tour to learn of the most emblematic points of the city, such as the Boulevard de la corniche, the Park of Notions, and Mohamed V. Square. You will then depart for Marrakesh, where you will receive a guided tour of the city before staying for the night. Your tour will then conclude the following day, as you depart back home.
